Dr Jane McEniery

Jane completed her Radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. This was followed by a Fellowship in Paediatric Radiology at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. She joined Qscan in 2016 as Fellow in Musculoskeletal imaging. Jane now works as a Radiologist at both Qscan and QCH. Her areas of interest include Paediatrics, MSK and Neuro, and she is heavily involved with the Paediatric Neuro-Oncology service.

Recent professional achievements include speaking at national and international conferences including Seminars in Pediatric Neuroimaging and the ANZSNR and ANZSPR annual scientific meetings. In 2019 she was the Chair of the Scientific Committee for the RANZCR Qld ASM.

Jane regularly contributes to Registrar, Fellow and medical student teaching and is a Director of Training at QCH and the alternate Branch Education Officer for the RANZCR Qld Branch. Jane is also involved in the Qld Women in Radiology professional network.

In her spare time Jane plays music in the band “The Wicked Messenger” and loves photography and gardening.

Dr Cara Odenthal

Dr Cara Odenthal (FRANZCR, MPhil, MBBS) has been a member of the Qscan team since 2020.

Cara completed a hybrid fellowship in abdominal imaging in 2020 under the mentorship of Dr Stephen Drew, with a particular emphasis on gynaecological and breast MRI.

In addition to abdominal and pelvic imaging, Cara maintains a keen interest in head and neck imaging and breast imaging. Cara is a founding member of the weekly Brisbane North Private Head and Neck Oncology Multidisciplinary Team Meeting. When not working with the Qscan team, Cara also holds an appointment with BreastScreen Queensland and the Wesley Breast Clinic.

Before embarking upon a career in medicine, Cara received undergraduate qualifications to become a radiographer at the Queensland University of Technology. During her undergraduate studies, she was a recipient of the Mitsui Education Foundation Scholarship. She completed postgraduate medical studies at the University of Queensland in 2011, followed by internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. In 2012, she was awarded the CMORE House Officer Research Award, and spent 6 months in a full-time research position. Cara has completed a Master of Philosophy, investigating brain volume loss in patients with early multiple sclerosis and radiologically isolated syndromes.

Dr Michael Tuppin

Michael started his career as a physiotherapist, graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2000, and worked for 10 years at The Prince Charles Hospital primarily in the fields of Cardiorespiratory and Orthopaedics. During this time, he completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Queensland in 2007, where he was awarded the Top MBA prize for the highest overall achievement in the program, and was subsequently placed on the Dean’s Honour Roll. He concurrently completed a Master of Philosophy (in the field of Physiotherapy), graduating from the University of Queensland in 2008.

Michael then went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2011 with first class honours, and was awarded the Lilian Cooper Prize for highest overall achievement during the program, as well as the Dr Elaine Katte Prize in Medicine and the AMA Memorial Prize. Following completion of his post-graduate training in Radiology at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, he began consulting with Qscan Radiology Clinics in 2019, where he has since completed a musculoskeletal fellowship. He has a particular interest in both the diagnostic and interventional aspects of musculoskeletal radiology.

Michael also enjoys teaching. Having previously been engaged as a clinical tutor and examiner in physiotherapy, he now offers his time lecturing in radiology to physiotherapists, as well as medical students and registrars.

Dr Matthew Budak

Dr Matthew Budak (MD, FRCR, FRANZCR) studied at the Medical University of Warsaw graduating in 2007, completing his internship in the West Midlands, England. He underwent post-graduate radiology training in the east of Scotland working between Dundee and Edinburgh. In 2015, Matthew completed a musculoskeletal fellowship at the University of Alberta, Canada. During his fellowship, he acquired diagnostic and interventional skills ranging across numerous modalities and spectrum of pathologies including sports imaging, arthritides and sarcoma work. Whilst in Edmonton, he closely liaised with the local professional sports clubs and their medical teams.

Matthew is actively involved in teaching radiology registrars along with other medical and allied health professionals and has been acknowledged for his contributions with an RSNA Honoured Educator Award in 2016. His special interests are musculoskeletal imaging and image guided pain management. He is passionate and excited about servicing the local community and invites referrers to reach out for any support or guidance they may require.

Dr Brian Carey

Dr Brian Carey completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland before moving to Ireland to study medicine at University College Dublin, graduating with honours in 2007.

After undertaking post-graduate physician training in Dublin and being awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland in 2010, he returned to Australia in 2011. Brian completed further post-graduate training in Radiology at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick.

Brian completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal and Sports Radiology at Imaging@ Olympic Park in Melbourne, working with many elite athletes and professional sporting teams. His subspecialty interests include Musculoskeletal Radiology, Sports medicine and image-guided musculoskeletal intervention.

Dr Dalveer Singh

Dalveer (MBBS (Hons), FRANZCR, FAANMS) is a dual trained Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist. Dalveer grew up in Queensland and graduated from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours and prizes in Surgery, Medicine and Ophthalmology. He returned to Brisbane for residency and completed radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dalveer developed a particular interest in Molecular Imaging early on in his specialty training whilst working with expert radiologists. He subsequently completed a fellowship at the world leading Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, where he gained further experience in cancer imaging using advanced PET and functional imaging techniques and non-invasive radionuclide therapy for cancer (theranostics).

Dalveer has broad research interests and holds an academic appointment as Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. His numerous publications and presentations in peer reviewed journals and international meetings include neuroimaging, head and neck, prostate and chest imaging topics. On a day to day basis Dalveer enjoys seeing patients and general intervention procedures.

Dr Arash Dehdari

Dr Arash Dehdari (MD, FRANZCR) Finished his Medical Doctorate degree in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 1998. He Finished his 6 year radiology training  at Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2016. He received the Uhr Clarke Bursary Award for his achievement in FRANZCR examination. His training in Princess Alexandra hospital included a one year fellowship in cross-sectional interventional radiology. He finished a year of postgraduate fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at Qscan in 2016.

Arash is currently a Radiologist with Qscan and his interests are musculoskeletal imaging, sport medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, imaging-guided musculoskeletal intervention and CT-guided interventional radiology including lung biopsies.

Dr Martin te Kloot

Dr Martin te Kloot (BSc/BCom, MBBS (Hons1), FRANZCR) was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with 1st Class Honours from the University of Queensland in 2008, after completing undergraduate degrees in both biomedical science and commerce. He completed his Radiology speciality training based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2016.

Martin underwent further training with a subspecialty fellowship with Qscan Radiology Clinics in 2017. This fellowship focused on all aspects of Musculoskeletal MRI, ultrasound and intervention as well as sports medicine and spinal imaging.

Martin is currently a Radiologist with Qscan Radiology Clinics and has continued his interest in musculoskeletal and sports imaging.  He liases with sports medicine specialists and is actively involved in the diagnosis and management of athletes from major sporting teams on the Gold Coast.

Dr Tarun Jain

Dr Tarun Jain moved to Australia after training in Radiology in India, including an appointment at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He has been involved with Qscan clinics in Canberra since 2012. He also works as a Senior Staff Specialist at ACT Health. He is a general Radiologist with subspeciality interest in abdominal imaging and MRI. Other areas of interest include musculoskeletal radiology and imaging-guided procedures. Having worked with BreastScreen since 2008, he currently holds the position of Designated Radiologist at ACT BreastScreen.

Tarun has a strong academic grounding with published articles in several peer-reviewed journals and is regularly involved in research projects. He is also a member of multiple multi-disciplinary teams in Canberra.

Dr Aakash Mahajan

Dr Aakash Mahajan areas of expertise and special interest include Neuroradiology, Head and Neck imaging, MRI and Cardiac CT. Dr. Mahajan is also very experienced in musculoskeletal & spinal injections.

Dr. Mahajan completed his medical schooling (MBBS) and speciality radiology training MD (Radiodiagnosis) in 2004. He obtained an additional radiology qualification FRCR awarded by the Royal College of Radiologists UK in 2011. He completed his Neuroradiology Fellowship in Foothills Medical Centre, Canada in 2012.

Dr. Mahajan worked as a consultant with Queensland X-ray for 3 years before moving to Canberra in 2017 and has been associated with UMI since then. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. He is credentialed with level A RANZCR Conjoint Committee on CTCA and also works for ACT breast screen.
