Dr Hal Rice is a co-founder and radiologist at Qscan Radiology Clinics, specialising in neuroradiology. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland.
Hal completed his specialist training in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital before undertaking an advanced specialist fellowship in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology at the world-famous Mt Sinai Medical Center in New York City in 2001 and 2002.
He also established the Interventional Neuroradiology Service at the Gold Coast Hospital. Hal is internationally recognised as an innovative and dynamic leader in his field, providing comprehensive endovascular treatment for patients with severe and life-threatening brain aneurysms, acute ischaemic stroke, vascular disease and other serious disorders of the brain and spine.
Hal was named Gold Coast Australian of the Year 2022. He was recognised for his contribution to neuroradiology, excellence in patient care, and his pivotal role in establishing the Gold Coast as a premier site for endovascular treatment and innovations in stroke diagnosis and research.
