Yes. All Qscan scans require a referral from your doctor or specialist. Your referral tells our team which scan you need, so we can prepare the right appointment for you. You can upload a digital copy of your referral, or enter the details manually, when you book online.
If your referral covers more than one scan, you will need to book each scan separately. After you book your first scan, you will be asked to confirm before booking the next one. This is a normal part of the booking process, not an error. If you have any trouble, request a callback and our team will help you complete both bookings.
For some scan types and clinics, live appointment times may not be shown online. If this happens, you will be asked to request a callback instead. Our team will contact you directly to find a suitable appointment time for your scan. Requesting a callback does not mean your booking has failed, it simply means our team needs to confirm the details with you first.
At the clinic selection step, search by your suburb or postcode and we will show you the nearest Qscan clinics that offer the scan you require.
Bulk Billing is available for eligible Medicare-rebatable scans at participating Qscan clinics, depending on your referral. Once you enter your scan and referral details, an estimated cost will be shown so you know what to expect before you book. Our team will confirm your Bulk Billing eligibility and any out-of-pocket costs before your appointment is confirmed.

If your doctor has indicated that your scan is urgent, you can book online if your scan type and nearest clinic are showing same day or next day availability. If a suitable time is not showing, please call your nearest Qscan clinic directly so our team can see your referral and arrange the most suitable appointment with you.
